Milton Keynes Council has approved a new Redway from Newton Leys and the Lakes Estate to the Blue Lagoon and Bletchley station

20 August 2020

MK Council has has approved a new Redway from Newton Leys and the Lakes Estate to the Blue Lagoon and Bletchley Station.

MK Green Party first suggested this 10 years ago when Newton Leys was planned and the Bletchley Transport Strategy was being written.

It's good news that it is happening at last and great to know that people living and working in Newton Leys will soon have the opportunity to travel safely by bike although there are still no Redways within Newton Leys!

Cycle commuting and leisure cycling are on the increase everywhere in the UK partly because of Covid-19 and partly because it just makes so much sense - you get healthier and fitter, save money and don't have to watch that bumper in front of you slowly inch forward in the rush hour.
